Screwfix to open it’s 400th store on 14 May

Multi-channel trade retailer Screwfix is to officially open its milestone 400th store in Hinckley on 14 May on Apex Court. The new branch will create an additional 12 jobs and is part of the company’s ongoing expansion plans.

Screwfix’s new Hinckley Store Manager Lee Cook, is proud of the contribution the new store has made to employment figures in the region. “We’ve created 12 brand new vacancies and have employed local people from around the Hinckley area. Our new team includes people of all ages and levels of experience, but the most important requirement is that they have the right attitude and can offer superb customer service. Everyone here is really looking forward to the store opening.”

Tradesmen and DIYers are all invited to attend the 400th Screwfix launch celebration at the Hinckley store at Apex Court, where they can also demonstrate their professional skills in a free-to-enter screw drilling competition. The fastest time wins a 40in Toshiba smart TV. There will also be a prize for the 400th customer, a raffle in aid of The Screwfix Foundation, outdoor entertainment and a ‘Great Deals’ gazebo for those looking to get their hands on a bargain!

Throughout the store’s launch celebration period from Thursday 14th May and through the weekend until Sunday 17th, all product ranges will carry a 10% discount among other store specific special offers.

Leading power tool manufacturers DeWalt, Hitachi, Mira and Hep2o, will also be at the store at Apex Court demonstrating a range of products from the Screwfix catalogue.

Lee believes that the store’s convenient location and the ability to provide a Click and Collect service within just 5 minutes of ordering will be a real bonus to local tradesmen and DIY enthusiasts.
