PAINTER AND DECORATOR FROM ESSEX IS A SCREWFIX TOP TRADESPERSON FINALIST!
- Georgie Baker, a painter and decorator from Essex, has reached the final of Screwfix Top Tradesperson 2023.
- Georgie will compete against nine other tradespeople from across the UK at the national final this month, with the aim of winning the coveted title and the ultimate £20,000 trade bundle.
Georgie Baker, a skilled painter and decorator from Essex, is one step closer to being crowned Screwfix Top Tradesperson 2023, after reaching the final of the national award, along with nine other tradespeople.
Georgie, 35, has 10 years of experience in the trade and impressed judges during the semi-final stage with a passion for the trade, and how he’s using his own experiences to shine a light on how a career in the trade can change lives.
Screwfix Top Tradesperson attracted more than 1,000 applications this year, with just 10 making the final stage. The final will take place at Screwfix LIVE on Friday 22 September, where Georgie will have the chance to highlight his professionalism, dedication and commitment to the trade in front of a panel of industry experts.
The panel includes representatives from the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (CIPHE), the National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting (NICEIC), and Screwfix Top Tradesperson 2022 champion, Toby Peacock.
Only one tradesperson will be crowned Screwfix Top Tradesperson and receive the ultimate trade bundle of tech, tools and training worth £20,0000, while earning themselves a spot in the Screwfix Top Tradesperson Hall of Fame.
Georgie, who owns Baker’s Property Maintenance, said: “I’m really proud to have made it to the final of this coveted award. Having entered the trade a decade ago, I can’t begin to explain how much it has changed my life and I’m excited to see what’s next for me and my career. To be crowned Screwfix Top Tradesperson would be a dream come true!”
