Screwfix is celebrating the successful launch of its latest store on Great Union Street, HU9 1AL. The new store officially opened its doors on Thursday 5 March with hundreds of eager customers ready to stock up on the latest tools and trade essentials.

The Hull – Witham Screwfix store is part of the company’s growing network of over 670 stores nationwide, meaning over 98% of the UK population is within a 30-minute drive of a store. Open seven days a week from 7am Monday to Saturday, the store also provides a convenient Click & Collect service that is available at all Screwfix locations. Using this service, customers can order their goods online or over the phone and pick them up from a store in as little as one minute.

Screwfix’s Hull – Witham Store Manager, Lee Aspin, said: “We chose to open a new store in Hull to better meet the needs of the local tradespeople. Many of our new customers previously shopped with Screwfix at our Hull – Holderness and Hull – St Andrews stores, so we’re delighted to bring Screwfix even closer to them for greater convenience.

“Our celebration weekend, which ran from Thursday 5 until Sunday 8 March, attracted hundreds of customers. We have received fantastic support from the local community and are looking forward to supporting more busy tradespeople and serious DIYers in Hull.”

Since starting in 2013 The Screwfix Foundation has donated more than £5m to local charities and community projects enabling them to fix, repair or maintain facilities. Screwfix staff are directly involved in helping community projects and host charity fundraising events across the estate.
