Surrey Canal’s first Screwfix store to open in August
Multi-channel trade retailer Screwfix is to officially open its first store in Surrey Canal on Thursday 4th August on Surrey Canal Trade Park. The new branch will create an additional 16 jobs and is part of the company’s ongoing expansion plans.
Screwfix’s new Surrey Canal Store Manager, Arthur Inquieti is proud of the contribution the new store has made to employment figures in the region. “We’ve created 16 brand new vacancies and have employed local people from around the Surrey Canal area. Our new team includes people of all ages and levels of experience, but the most important requirement is that they have the right attitude and can offer superb customer service. Everyone here is really looking forward to the store opening.”
Tradesmen and DIYers are all invited to attend the Surrey Canal Screwfix opening on Surrey Canal Trade Park where they can also demonstrate their professional skills in a free-to-enter screw drilling competition. The fastest time wins a 40in smart TV.
Throughout the store’s launch celebration period from Thursday 4th August and through the weekend until Sunday 7th August, all product ranges will carry a 10% discount among other store specific special offers.
Leading power tool manufacturer Hitachi, will be at the store on Surrey Canal Trade Park, demonstrating a range of products from the Screwfix catalogue.
Arthur believes that the store’s convenient location and the ability to provide a Click and Collect service within just five minutes of ordering will be a real bonus to local tradesmen and DIY enthusiasts.
