The Screwfix Foundation supports hundreds of charities in 2019

The Screwfix Foundation supported more than 250 local charities-in-need with grants of up to £5000 during 2019.

Charities across the UK were awarded funding to fix, repair, maintain and improve their facilities.

The York Blind and Partially Sighted Society received a donation of £5000 to help make their new premises fully accessible for users and install facilities for its disabled users. YBPSS is a thriving, independent local charity, working to help people with sight problems to be independent.

Bristol-based charity Ronald McDonald House is a small, independent charity which provides free accommodation and support to families, whose critically ill children are receiving treatment at the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. They were awarded funding to replace flooring in 17 bedrooms and a kitchen, in a property where over 7,600 families have stayed across 16 years.

Children with Cancer and Leukaemia Advice and Support for Parents help children and teenagers suffering from cancer or leukaemia in Scotland. The Screwfix Foundation provided £1770 to improve their outdoor space, including a playhouse for children.

Buddy Bear Trust, a Northern Irish charity was established in 1988 at the request of parents who wished their children with cerebral palsy to be taught using Conductive Education. They received £4500 to underlay and laminate the floor in two classrooms and a hallway, as well as installing a climbing frame.

ROC Wellbeing offer wellbeing services across Devon and Cornwall where you can meet new people, improve your skills and gain qualifications. They were awarded funding to create a wheelchair friendly sensory garden.

The Screwfix Foundation, which launched in April 2013 donates much needed funding to help a variety of local projects throughout the UK, from repairing buildings and improving community facilities, to improving the homes of people living with sickness or disability.

It also works closely with Macmillan Cancer Support, as well as supporting smaller, local registered charities.
